Christine Jewell …

has over 25 years of professional experience in museums and education in Connecticut, offering workshops for students of all ages and educators in arts, history, culture, and the humanities. Consultant services address a variety of needs for non-profit organizations whose missions support the arts and humanities such as developing budgets with a goal of generating revenue, fundraising, membership programs, and board development. She has developed education programs for diverse audiences, including school-age children, families, adults, seniors, teens, and college students.

Teaching Artist

Christine combines historic research and spirituality into her work combining devotional imagery with printing, fiber arts, and quilting small banners. She also creates wide variety of practical items such as Boho bags and totes. She has a B.F.A from SUNY Purchase and an M.A in the Arts and Social Policy from Empire State College, NY. She has studied in Venice, Italy and at prominent craft schools including Haystack Mountain in Maine andPenland in North Carolina. Her work has been shown at the Artwell Gallery, Mattatuck Museum, the Fairfield Public Library and Westchester Art Workshop.
