Participants will learn how to do patchwork and piecing, cutting, and planning for projects. Create your own tote bags, zippered pouches, and more. Previous students are welcome to attend and to work on more advanced projects.

Sewing 101: Are you new to sewing on a machine or need a refresher? This workshop is for you! Learn the basics of machine sewing including threading, operating, and troubleshooting. Practice making straight lines and turns and overcome the mysteries of the sewing machine. Learn how to choose and buy fabric and make simple projects.

Piece, Patch & Quilt: In this machine sewing workshop, learn how to piece together squares, triangles, and rectangle shapes to build patchwork designs and to create your own textile art. Learn from modern and historical quilt patterns to sew together shapes and patterns, from traditional piecing such as flying geese, chevron, and windmill, to more free-form piecing. Combine and quilt together your pieces to create artwork or textiles.
